I need to rent an SUV on thursday night returning monday. do you have any advice on getting something reasonable (like $25-$30/day rather than $50/day)? I am happy to go to a rent a wreck kind of place - but has to be something safe to drive to Tahoe! THANK YOU! | |

When considering renting a car, consider the insurance as well. Many rental companies bait you with a low price and then force down an expensive insurance on you. The last time I rented a car in Berkeley California, I called my own insurance company to make sure it covered the rental, but I still had to argue with the guy at the counter for five minutes because he didn't like the fact that I wouldn't buy their extra insurance/waiver. |
