I am thinking of beting OGC Nice that will take the championship and I
want to find information about theit current status, how good they
appear and any opinions by people in France that will be more
informed. I can not read french that's why I want this answers. Thank
you. I want to bet a lot of money and I need plenty of information

<Nice would appear to be a good bet to win the championship. Nice was
promoted last summer to the first division and have played extremely
well this season. After 23 games, Nice is currently joint second in
the first division with 39 points. Lyon and Marseille also have 39
points. Auxerre is in the lead with 40 points. However Nice beat top
of the league Auxerre 2-0 on 16th November 2002

A new addition to the team is striker Cedric Mionnet who was signed
from Sedan where he scored 40 goals in 153 matches. In 2001 he was
instrumental in the club finishing 5th in the league and qualifying
for the EUFA Cup. Last season he was kept from playing by a serious
knee injury.
