I'm looking (but not desperate :))) for two following movies . Would
you give me a clue - where to find them ? They could very well be
copies and not originals - I don't mind.

1)Importance of Being Earnest, The (1981)
http://us.imdb.com/Title?0180758

2) Dr Fischer of Geneve (1985)
http://us.imdb.com/Title?0089049

Would you help me ?

Dear alvina3-ga;

Thank you for allowing me an opportunity to answer your interesting
question.

You can buy previously viewed copies of THE IMPORTANCE OF BEING
EARNEST in VHS format on AMAZON for a about US$21.00. (Right now, a
new one on VHS runs about $100.00)

USED

NEW

The other film, DR. FISCHER OF GENEVA, is no longer available, but as
luck would have it, there happens to be one auction on ebay right now
offering a VHS/PAL format film for sale (currently at US$7.98):

I hope you find that that my research exceeds your expectations. If
you have any questions about my research please post a clarification
request prior to rating the answer. I welcome your rating and your
final comments and I look forward to working with you again in the
near future. Thank you for bringing your question to us.

Hello Tutuzdad-ga !

Thank you for the answer.
Unfortunately, it doesn't help me very much.
1. I am not interested in the new Oliver Parker's Importance of being
earnest (very poor movie :((( ) but in the TV version, produced in
1981.

2. As for ebay - I'm not participating in their auctions . I don't
live in US, but in France --> there are always delivery problems. And
I also don't like the way they treat their clients.

But thanks anyway,
I'll keep looking.

Hello tutuzdad-ga !

Once again, you give me links to the Importance Being Earnest directed
in 2002 by Oliver Parker - I don't really need. What I'm looking for
is a TV production of Importance Being Earnest made in 1981 by Michael
Attenborough and Michael Lindsay-Hogg, starring Wendy Hiller.

Please, somebody, help!!!

On the other hand, I'm finally bidding on ebay for Dr Fischer of
Geneva - thank you very much for that :)

Ok, we're half-way there. I'll continue to see what I can do to find
the other one for you.

What format are you looking for?

As you live in France, I would have guessed SECAM but maybe you can
also handle PAL and NTSC.

I can handle all three of them .
