I have a set of Andirons stamped "Tenn. Chrom. Plate Co. Nashville"
The front is a Musical note symbol of brass the back disengages from
the front by sliding in and out of a slot. There are no nuts or bolts.
I cannot find this company on the internet, via phone or through other
chrome co's in Tennessee. There are a pair of Andirons listed in
"Kovels" year 2000 pg,247, "Owl, Twig Base, Chrome Plate Co., 1890s
$495.00. Is this the same Co.? If not tell me if the Co. I listed is
still open and the year approximately of my andirons and an
approximate value. Thank you.
