Good evening Qpet,
Thanks for this interesting question to research.
So how often do men think about sex?
Depending on which version you've encountered, the amount of time
between naughty male thoughts will be stated differently, with "every
three minutes," "every eight seconds," and "every fifteen seconds"
giving "every seven seconds" a run for its money as the top finisher
in this category.

In an article by Michael Grose It has been estimated that adolescent
boys think about sex every 20 seconds. If you have a daughter you are
probably thinking that teenage girls talk about the opposite sex at
about the same rate.

A survey shows that 17-year-old American boys think about sex every
17 seconds on average.

A middle school principal once said that you can set your watch by how
often teenage boys think about sexevery five minutes! While he said
this in jest, it may be worth a note.

However, the Kinsey Institute is the most reliable source for
statistics related to sexual behavior. According to various Kinsey
Research Reports:
===
Men
===
54% of men think about sex everyday or several times a day
43% a few times per month or a few times per week
4% less than once a month
=====
Women
=====
19% of women think about sex everyday or several times a day
67% a few times per month or a few times per week
14% less than once a month

Food
Young adults, PSU affected daily by eating disorders by Thomas
Bassinger
Penn State alumna Erica Smith, a 2001 graduate, battled eating
disorder symptoms for most of her life, starting at age 10 and says:
"All I thought about was food and my body 24-7," she said. "That is
not the way to live."

If you think of food nearly 75 percent of the day or more you may have
an eating disorder. 10-15% of all Americans suffer from some type of
serious eating disorder
Each day thousands of women -- and men, too --- spend most of their
waking hours thinking about food. Their quest for thinness or their
obsession with food drives them to punish their bodies through
binge-eating, bingeing and purging, or through starvation.

After extensive research the best statistics I was able to locate on
thinking about food are the following:
Thoughts of food occupy 10 to 15 percent of the day in normal eaters.
Normal eating promotes clear thinking and mood stability. It fosters
healthy relationships in family, work, school, and community. Thoughts
of food, hunger, weight occupy only a small part of day (perhaps 10 to
15 percent).
Thoughts of food occupy 20 to 65 percent or more of the day in people
with eating disorders
In dysfunctional eating, thoughts of food, hunger, and weight may
occupy 20 to 65 percent of waking hours, or more.
