I need contact information for managers and booking agents who will
know what to do with a band like this. My friend's band is unlike any
other currently playing in the U.S. They play live breakbeat dance
music, exactly like what we hear DJs spinning at clubs, except they
are a live band made up of three people: a drummer, a bass player, and
a keyboard/sequencer who also plays guitar.

Every show they've played has had a tremendous response: they have
blown the house down at Burning Man and at a few large dance clubs in
San Francisco, including DNA. But the problem is that most of the
parties they play at are one-off events, underground clubs, etc. They
need to be playing bigger clubs and getting booked at major events
like CoolWorld.

Playing at rock venues may not be an option, since most rock venue
bookers can't (or don't want to) comprehend the dance music scene.
They need to be getting booked at dance clubs where DJs spin
breakbeats, where they can set up on a stage and WOW the crowd with
their killer live performance.

They need a manager and a booking agent who REALLY understand that
they are a live band playing in the dance music scene. They're based
in San Francisco.

I am willing to increase my price for real, valuable information and
contacts. I don't want a list of a bunch of managers and agents who
only book rock bands and rock venues. I would also prefer managers
over booking agents, since I know that most booking agents will not
accept unsolicited submissions (CDs, videos, etc.). But since in
California, managers are not allowed (by law) to act as booking
agents, some names of BAs would be helpful, too.

Thank you very much.
