Hi 211563,

A couple of recommendations. You'll probably have better luck
interesting researchers if you break this into two separate questions.
A researcher might have the answer to "Where can I find a large 26
ft+, inexpensive chandelier?" and not know how to help you sell your
wine, and be reluctant to only supply part of the answer.

Similarly, giving more detail (What's your geographic location? What
do you consider "inexpensive"? Are you trying to buy/sell physically
or would your order by mail/over the web? are some examples from the
top of my head)is morely to provide an answer... and one that you'd be
satisfied with.

regards,

rico

Dear 211563-ga:

Many researchers tend to work on questions that are within their area
of expertise or past experience. Since these are two totally unrelated
issues, you might get better results by breaking your questions up
into two seperate offerings, priced accordingly.

Hello Randy

Thanks for getting back to us. I'm afraid we need to ask if you could
please give a little more detail about what you mean by 'massive'.
Many of the chandeliers available online are between 20 and 28 inches
across. Their heights vary a lot according to the design. Prices also
vary a great deal, although you shouldn't need to go anywhere near
$25,000! One design I looked at could cost between $1400 and $3400,
depending on the quality of crystal and the size, which could be from
20 to 28 inches across and from 29 to 34 inches high. Is 28 by 34 big
enough? Are you happy with that kind of price?

If you could please give us even more information about your
requirements, I think we would be better able to help.

(I think I'm right in understanding that it's OK if we set aside the
wine part of the question and work on the chandelier?)

thanks, we live near Atlanta...I was told I need something at least
36# across and I have no idea how long..price is reasonable.....I've
discovered chandeliers are like oriental rugs....the same thing will
bring 8 different prices at 8 different places....lots of scams going
on out there and unfortunatly I think the chandeliers are one of
them...I've already been a victim of the rug business which, by the
way, we are also looking for

Hello

Thanks for the question and for helping us out by answering our
requests for more information.

I found two companies with websites offering several choices of extra
large crystal chandeliers. Each offers a certain amount of information
about crystal, their standards, warranties, mailing addresses and so
on. They both manufacture in Europe, while 'Bohemia' ships from
Virginia and 'World Class' from Florida.

BOHEMIA CRYSTAL LIGHTS AND ARTS
===============================

Their largest crystal chandeliers start at less than $2000 dollars for
a 35 inch design. They are made with Bohemia crystal from the Czech
Republic.

Crystal chandelier range:

Don't miss their page on the history and description of Bohemian Czech
crystal, including this:
"Crystal, by definition, is glass of superior quality and high degree
of brilliance. Not all crystal is the same because its color and
brilliance strongly depend on the composition and proportioning of raw
materials, and associated technological process, all of which are
traditionally kept a secret by the Czechs to protect the formulae."

information etc., is at:

To read what they say about the quality of their crystal, click on the
word 'crystal', e.g. "Our crystal is Full Lead Crystal, which has a
30% Lead Oxide content".

Click on 'about us' to read what they say about the manufacture in
Europe of their chandeliers and their ten year warranty.

They offer advice on what kind of questions you may wish to have
answered before ordering a chandelier:
"Following are a few tips to protect yourself from unnecessary
disappointments and headaches when purchasing your chandelier.
 - Do you have a return policy?
 - Where is it made?
 - What kind of Crystal is used?
 - Can you send me a sample of Crystal?
 - What kind of warranty does it have? "

Take your collectable bottles to a local artist and pay them to design
and build a very large chandelier that incorporates them. There are
many talented people out there that could use a commissioned scupture
job, but if you are having trouble locating one, go to your closest
univerity and post a note on the bulletin board in the Art department.
Ask for sketches, costs, and a time frame to use to pick the best.

It would be a shame to see a 26 ft ceiling with any cheap accessory
hanging from it.
