I'm referring to Via Technologies, which is based in Taiwan.

According to the financial reports of Via Technology, they have, in
fact, been fairly profitable the last few years (in thousands of
Taiwan Dollars):

1999 - $1,980,296 Net Income, $3.95 earnings per share
2000 - $6,542,656 Net Income, $6.91 earnings per share
2001 - $5,324,545 Net Income, $5.62 earnings per share


They have not yet released their year end 2002 statements, however,
the first three quarters have been profitable (in thousands of Taiwan
Dollars):

Q1 - $1,073,809 Net Income
Q2 - $1,120,249 Net Income
Q3 - $1,164,332 Net Income

Please bearin in mind that past performance has no bearing on future
performance.  If you are planning on investing in a company, be sure
