Chuck D makes reference to something called his "S1Ws" when he raps on the early albums for Public Enemy, the political hip hop group. What does S1W stand for? Any story behind it? |

Hello, Thanks for your question! From about.com's Public Enemy page I found the following information: " The S1W (Security of the First World) actually started out as a Long Island tank activist force called "Unity Force" in the mid '80s. They formed in response to racial attacks that were taking place at that time and dressed in a fashion reminiscent of the Black Panther Party and the Fruit of Islam.
