<The West Norfolk Hunt formerly organised horseracing at Fakenham race course. Nowadays horseracing is organised by the British Horseracing Board http://www.bhb.co.uk/ which in 1993 took over many of the duties of the Jockey Club. The West Norfolk Hunt still exists today there are point to point races organised at Fakenham http://www.btinternet.com/~pointingea/2002/review_19.htm. The West Norfolk Hunt is affiliated to the Pony Club http://branch.pcuk.org/westnorfolk/ The club is also involved in fox hunting.> <Additional links:> <http://www.fakenhamracecourse.co.uk/history.html> <Search strategy:> <"west norfolk hunt"> <://www.google.com/search?hl=en&lr=&ie=ISO-8859-1&q=%22west+norfolk+hunt%22> <Hope this helps.> |

There is a West Norfolk Hunt still in existence, at least as late as February 2002: "Roger Lyles, joint master of the West Norfolk Hunt, said he hoped the vote would once again be "thrown out" by the House of Lords." http://www.edp24.co.uk/content/News/NewsStory.asp?Brand=EDPONLINE&Category=NEWS&ItemId=NOED27+Feb+2002+23%3A34%3A28%3A890 |
