I need to know the best ways to contact (or be contacted by) potential
working partners, equity partners, or equity consultants, etc for new
business ventures involving patented and trademarked tools and lifting
devices and other intellectual property. An ideal person might be an
equity investor who has the skills to run the company. What are the
best ways to do this.

Greetings -

In my estimation, you're going to need to take a pro-active approach
in locating and securing relationships with equity investors, venture
capitalist firms, and related organizations by pitching your company
to them directly. This is going to be your first step in establishing
capital for your business. I've assembled a list of organizations
below that should be workable contacts for you to pursue.

Finding a "dual-hat" individual to invest *and* run the company may be
a difficult proposition, but not an impossible one. The reason for
the difficulty here is that the roles of primary investor and company
executive don't always intersect. Traditional approaches to finding
someone interested in filling both roles would be to post classified
ads in your local newspaper, national newspapers, entrepreneurial
magazines, or online classifieds in the "business opportunities"
section. Finding someone to run the company [sans equity] will
involve the same thing, except "help wanted" would be the section
here.

I have located a web site, however, that looks like an excellent
resource to find everyone you're looking for. Please see
businesspartners.com at http://www.businesspartners.com/

Thanks for your prompt response. With regard to that portion of your
reply which reads "IMPORTANT -- PLEASE READ This answer is not
finished until you're satisfied with it." I guess the answer isn't
finished. Have you confined your search to America or have you
considered foreign sources who might be interested in having a
business here? Also: there has been a great deal of corporate
downsizing and there are also a great many semi retired or retired
people and inidviduals with extensive experience who don't have a job
and are looking for business oppoortunities. I thought an answer would
include specific web sites and other ways to post my information to
get "in front of" these people. Thanks again.

quovadis-ga -

Thanks for your clarification. Yes, as per my message, the answer is
not finished until you're satisfied with it [within reason, of
course].

I did not confine my search to America, but it would seem that way
since most of the sites I located seem American oriented. However,
the Internet is a global medium, and is accessible to every locale.
On businesspartners.com, there may be foreign individuals looking for
business opportunities here.

I will do some additional research.

Thanks for your patience thus far.

Hi again -

The following are sites where you can specifically target individuals
looking for business opportunities. Some may require a fee for
posting your ad. If you need additional contacts, please let me know.
In terms of finding foreign individuals, these sites, being on the
Internet, are worldwide. So foreigners have access to them if they're
interested in business opportunities in the states. I don't have any
specific resources for finding individuals in foreign countries who
are looking for business opportunities here. I know that USENET
newsgroup discussion groups have a high mix of worldwide participants,
and there are some business groups you can check out there. You can
visit

these.

different places of their life perusing those sites. The most
important part is they're all looking for business opportunities, and
you'll be able to tailor your ad to attract exactly who you want.
