Hello again kongulu
Thank-you very much for inviting me to post my previous comment as an
answer. I'm repeating it here with one or two extra links.
I went to the University of Texas map collection with high hopes but
even that excellent resource didn't have exactly what you wanted.
The list of what they have on Zaire is at:
http://www.lib.utexas.edu/maps/zaire.html
This looks like a good map but it doesn't mark out the Ituri Forest as
you were hoping:

As I went along, I found this explanation of why it's so hard to find
a truly "detailed description of the boundaries of the Ituri":
"The geographic boundaries of the Ituri Forest are difficult to define
as the forest blends in with other forests and swamp regions. The
Ituri borders savanna to the north, the Western Rift Valley to the
east, and lowland rain forest to the south and west. The name Ituri
Forest derives from the Ituri River, which runs from east to west
across the forest, flowing into the Aruwimi River before emptying into
the Congo River."

(Sorry about the long link but the thinkquest site is not working at
present.)
There's also this comment in an academic article:
"The Ituri Forest, approximately 70,000 km2, has no clear boundaries,
but refers to the area roughly outlined by the watershed of the Ituri
River, one of the Congo's many tributaries."

Of course, civil unrest in the region doesn't help:

There's some information in reports on conservation projects like:

There's information on sections of forest, like:
Okapi Wildlife Reserve
http://www.wcmc.org.uk/protected_areas/data/wh/okapi.htm
Semliki National Park

I hope some of this will be useful, even though I realise it is not a
'dream' answer for you. Certainly, I will keep an eye out for a map
with the forest shaded in clearly.
Good luck with finding out all you want about the Ituri.
Regards - Leli
