Hello:

Ofcourse you can delete the search history from the google if you are
using the internet explorer.

First of all, there is nothing wrong with the google toolbar. It is
the settings in the intenet explorer browser itself which have been
saved to show the history. To clear a history please follow the
following steps; ( please note that the following example is true for
all other search histories in other search engines such a Yahoo,
altavista etc ).

WHILE ON INTERNET EXPLORER WINDOW

1. Select 'Tools' from the menu.
2. Select 'Internet Options' from the drop down menu.
3. Choose 'Content' tab. ( Third from left )
4. Select the button 'Auto Complete' at the bottom.
5. Once the Auto Complete window appears, select 'Clear Forms'

This should delete the past history in the browser and your google
internet explorer toolbar will never show anything (either drop down
menu listings or start letter listings).

Now there may be times when you will only want to delete one specific
listings. For example for the sake of discussion assume that you have
searched for 'Bin Laden' for some information BUT dont want others to
see that. Suppose you type the letter 'B' and the listings from B
appear ( along with Bin Laden ). Just highlight Bin Laden by mouse or
arrow keys ( dont click just highlight ) and then press delete. It
should delete Bin Laden from the drop down list while retaining all
other search records.

Now if you dont understand anything just clarify and I will help you.
I think we can delete search history from anywhere. Thank You for
asking. We at google answers are here to help you until you solve your
problems.

Sincerely,
leader-ga

Unfortunately, I believe that leader-ga's answer is incorrect. (I
misread the question in the same way at first, so I don't think that
leader-ga intended to submit the wrong answer; nevertheless, the
answer does appear to be wrong.)

Leader-ga's answer states that you can clear the search history from
the Google Toolbar. (Actually, even that answer seems incorrect; you
would clear the search history by clicking on the "Google" button and
then on "Clear Search History" in the drop down menu, as explained at
http://toolbar.google.com/menu_help.html ) However, I do believe that
aditya2k-ga is right -- you cannot *undo* the clearing of the search
history.

Hello guys:

Yes you both are correct BUT there is a chance of misinturuption. As
you see the original question asks to undo clear the history on the
internet explorer toolbar NOT the google Toolbar. Any way, I thank
both of the comments posted here and hope that the comments and the
answer wil help the gpo22-ga to come out with a solution. Thanks again
for your help.
