How do I enable a T68I cell phone, bought in Singapore (On December 2002), to have its Bluetooth activated when entering an Israeli (Orange Network) Sim Card? The phone is unlocked and accepts any sim card. When an Orange Sim Card in entered, the bluetooth option is grayed out. I've heard I can re-flash the phone, but many users have complained that after doing so, bluetooth was completely ruined, so answers like "just flash your cell phone" are kind of redundant.. |

Hello! Unfortunately I am unable to give you the answer you need, but I contacted Ericsson's branch in Israel and this is the answer they had given me: "Dear Sir or Madam, Thank you for contacting Sony Ericsson. It is not possible to unblock the phone since Bluetooth is illegal in Israel. The phone "knows" when you put in an israelic SIM-card and automatic blockes the Bluetooth function. The only way to get around this is if you have a SIM-card from another country." Now, everything is possible and there must be a way to get around it, but since Bluetooth is illegal in Israel it would be against the law to do so. I hope this clears things up a bit. pmrozik-ga |

Hi... Thanks for looking it up for me.. I know (blushing) that this is the reason for the block... I just can't stand the fact that I have a bluetooth enabled phone and it won't work! :-) |
