registry/config. error.Choose Command Prompt only & run SCANREG.
Tried SCANREG after C prompt, Bad command or file name. Tried

The command you need to run is "scanreg /restore" (note the space).

It should be installed on your computer, however if not it is
available on the Windows CD. You did not specify which versions of
Windows you were running, but I have checked the CDs for Windows ME
and Windows 98 SE.

Check first to see if it is located in C:\Windows\ - try running
"C:\windows\scanreg /restore"

Otherwise...
On the Windows ME CD, it is \win9x\scanreg.exe
On the Windows 98 SE CD, it is \win98\scanreg.exe

You will need to insert the Windows ME or Windows 98 CD and then, if
you CD Rom drive is D: for example, run "D:\win98\scanreg /restore" or
"D:\win9x\scanreg /restore"

More information about the Scanreg program can be found at the
following URLs, found by typing SCANREG in Google:

If for some reason you continue to have difficulties, post for a
clarification with more details of your set up and I will investigate
a little further for you.
