Hello -

I'm looking for transparent/translucent sound-absorbing/proofing
material that I can buy for building a custom drumset enclosure. The
goal here is to isolate a drummer from the rest of the musicians in an
on-stage setup. I'm not looking for your typical plexi-glass deals
that you throw up around a kit. I need to actually buy translucent
sound-blocking material to literally build a fully sealed "cage"
around the entire kit

I've heard of some polycarbonate/glass-with-lead type materials, but
have no idea where to purchase them. It would be great if you can
find any additional information on how to go about cohering this
material -- glues, screws, welding etc. -- or building these types of
cages...
