Further to my question ID: 143076, I have looked for a piccy of the
lady in question - without success.

She made several films and was latterly known as Maude Pierce Allen.

Please show me how to do it!

Note: Do not confuse her with Maud Allan, the dancer, who has several
piccies on the web.

Thanks.

Dear probonopublico,

Since my search for pictures of Maude Pierce Allen remained
unsuccessful, I do not post this as an answer. It is only a
suggestion:
I found out that Mrs. Allen played a character named "the Duchess" in
a 1940s western movie serial, "The Adventures od Red Ryder". In case
you really badly need pictures of this particular actress, you might
want to order the DVD containing the first epiosodes of the serial to
play it on a PC and take screenshots from scenes where she appears.
But if you decide to do so, please keep in mind that this DVD is
Region Code 1 protected and not compatible with many European DVD
drives and players. And, alas, it is an expensive solution.
Nevertheless, I give you the link to Amazon.com's offer for "Red
Ryder". Maybe it proves useful for you:

The zoom view of the DVD cover shows, by the way, clearly the name
"Maude Pierce Allen":

Hi, Scriptor

What a brilliant suggestion!

I don't have a DVD player myself but I do have two daughters who have
this modern technology and one of whom certainly has a multi-region
player.

I know because I bought it for her myself as a Xmas pressy.

In view of Lucia Phile's comments, please post this as an answer.

Kindet regards

Bryan

Hi probonopublico-ga,

There may be pictures of the late Miss Allen in print sources. If they
exist, I think that may be another avenue to explore. I played around
with the image searching a number of different ways but was
unsuccessful.

luciaphile-ga
