Hi berkett7,

There are as many answers to your question as there are Personality
Tests and people who like to speculate on the personalities of famous
people (dead or alive). On the other hand, there is no real answer to
your question because any answer would be pure speculation.

Unless the man himself decides to make a reappearance and start
someplace like this...

...we’ll never really know the answer.

So, what I’ll do here is give you a brief sampling of answers that
other people think they have, with links to further reading –

Myers-Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI)

ESFJ? ENTP? INFP? All Types? Results are still being argued.

The Personality Type of Jesus (ESFJ)

“My response was that one cannot do a personality test on deity. Jesus
had all the gifts, not just half of them….. One can argue based on the
gospel record that Jesus was an extravert, a sensor, a feeler, and a
judger. One can also argue, however, that Jesus was an introvert, an
intuitor, a thinker, and a perceiver….”

The Big Five (OCEAN)

A Psychological study of Jesus

“According to the Big Five theory, Jesus was an extremist in every
category, being open, conscientious, an extrovert, agreeable, and the
exact opposite of a neurotic.”

ENNEAGRAM

“Robert J. Nogosek, C.S.C., wrote a book along this line entitled
"Nine Portraits of Jesus: Discovering Jesus Through the Enneagram"
(Dimension Books), claiming that Jesus, being sinless, had all nine
Enneagram personality types.”

PSYCHOPATHOLOGICAL EXAMINATION OF PERSONALITY

"This psychopathological study of the Gospel resulted in a
revolutionary view on the personality of Jesus and his life, the
sources of his spirituality and ideas. The hypothesis of paraphreny
was able to explain a number of otherwise unexplained events….

… About 1910 three competent psychiatrists: Ch. Binet-Sangle, G.L.De
Loosten (G. Lomer) and W. Hirsch concluded after thorough examination
of the texts, that Jesus was mentally ill and suffered from
paranoia…."

"This is meant to be a novelty, fun test where you meet three
different characters: one who is PASSIVE, one who is ASSERTIVE, and
one who is AGGRESSIVE."

"Jesus is an good example of someone who was assertive (Matthew

TheSpark's Purity Test

"You are a GURU (SEAF)--kind, knowing, giving. Like Buddha of old, you
can be a persuasive speaker, and you use your creative talents to
further the objectives of your heart instead of your mind. But be
careful that your friends don't take advantage of your relaxed nature,
that’s what happened to Jesus."

Archetypes and the 4 Spiritualities

"Peter Richardson in Four Spiritualities suggests that the form of a
religion depended on the psychological type of the founder. Moses and
the Jewish religion tends to be ST, Mohammad and Islam tends to be SF,
Jesus and the Christians are more NF, and the Unitarians, Zen and
Native Spirituality are more NT."

So, I think that gives a nice selection of results for both “serious”
personality tests like the MBTI and the Big Five as well as results
from more playful tests.

Thanks for your question!
