Hello rookiesadi, SCORE does not appear to be featured very widely by retailers of Norwegian knitwear. Here are contact details for the retailers I have been able to find, all three in Norway: Maurtua “We are a homecraft store located in the center of Oslo (next to the City Hall). We sell Norwegian sweaters from Dale of Norway, Nordstrikk, Vrikke, Scandinavian SCORE and have our own collection of handknitted sweaters.” “You will in the near future be able to buy these articles from this page at competitive prices.” http://www.maurtua.no/ Phone +47 22 41 31 64 Fax +47 22 42 82 02 E-mail maurmail@maurtua.no Geilo Sport AS “a family business established in 1924, with the emphasis on quality and service… The souvenir department is well worth a visit. Here you will find a wide selection of traditional Norwegian Sweaters from Dale of Norway and SCORE” Geilo Sport AS, Geilovn. 42, 3580 Geilo, NORWAY Tel: +47 32 09 55 55 Fax: +4732 09 55 50 Norwegian Sweaters This retailer is probably too small-scale to be of interest, and focuses mainly on secondhand sweaters, although some new ones are featured on the site, including one SCORE sweater at http://www.norwegianwool.com/unisex_sider/unisex7.htm “Norwegian Sweaters Was started in January 2001 , launching its Web site (http://www.norwegianwool.com/) in August 2001. We are situated on the westcoast of Norway in Bergen. The second largest city in our contry. We sell mostly used traditional Norwegian high quality Sweaters , but also New Norwegian Sweaters.” These people are eBay sellers (feedback http://cgi2.ebay.com/aw-cgi/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewFeedback&userid=vestland Contact: From the US: 011 4755 63 37255 From outside the US: 00 47 55 63 37255 email: mail@ norwegianwool.com Search strategies: 1. “Scandinavian Score”, 2. Score, sweaters, Norwegian 3. Norway, Score, sweaters In addition, I searched on “Norwegian sweaters” and visited a number of sites which offer these, but did not succeed in finding any SCORE products Sites visited: http://www.sweater.no/default.asp (Oslo Sweater Shop) www.norwaysweaters.com/ http://www.norwegiansweaters.com/ www.norwayshop.com http://www.beashoppe.com/sweater.html http://www.giftsofnorway.com/norsweat.html http://www.nordicalaska.com/ | |

I researched your question a little bit yesterday; but it was locked for comments before I had a chance to post it... I guess some of the information is doubled up; but that can't hurt:-) I live in Norway; so I guess I could help:-) I am unfortunately not familiar with the brand "Scandinavian Score Design" from "L&B Scandinavia"; but I assume you are looking for what is known as a "lusekofte". (Picture: http://www.norskfolke.museum.no/utstillinger/nettutstillinger/setesdal/bilder/n1187_52.jpg ) I tried to call the number-information; but they could not find any L&B Scandinavia in Bergen; nor could they find a phone number to Scandinavian SCORE. "Lusekofter" are being produced in large numbers in the Orient (as well as in Norway); and are being sold in massive numbers, especially to tourists. I found some sites you might be interrested in; several of them showing images from a company called "Oleana". They are known for high quality, and good design. This is a German site showing pictures of some of Oleanas models: http://www.goessl-salzburg.at/Norweger/Norwegen/NorwegerHa.htm This American site sells both Oleana and Dale Of Norway, another company known for high quality. http://www.litenhus.com/oleana.html http://www.litenhus.com/dalesweaters/dale.html This is the address to Oleanas own shop in Bergen: http://www.bergen-guide.com/595.htm This page sells a lot of knitted clothes: http://www.sweatershopnorway.com/ And finally; this shop sells Scandinavian SCORE pullovers:) http://www.maurtua.no/ :-) arsenic |

Hello arsenic, Perhaps you did not notice, but I had already listed Maurtua http://www.maurtua.no/ as a stockist of SCORE sweaters in my answer, together with a telephone contact as requested in the clarification request, plus two other retailers which feature this brand. The other four leads you supply do indeed stock Norwegian sweaters, as do the seven that I mention in my answer. Unfortunately, they are not the particular brand requested in this question. There are a huge number of retailers, on or off the Web, supplying various makes of Norwegian sweaters. However, since they do not supply SCORE sweaters, they are of peripheral relevace to the query. |

I know this; and I think you posted an excellent answer, tehuti-ga:-) I did a little searching for the answer yesterday and got the information above; but when I returned here the answer was locked. Instead of editing the crude research; I decided I would post it as an additional comment to your answer. That is also why I put in this text: >I researched your question a little bit yesterday; but it was locked >for comments before I had a chance to post it... I guess some of the >information is doubled up; but that can't hurt:-) I know the information in my comment is mostly unrelated; but I think L&B Scandinavia/Scandinavian SCORE have a limited selection. The impression I got from rookiesadi-ga was that she would like something to choose from. Sorry if you perceived my comment as criticism; it was in now way intended to be:-) arsenic |
