I am looking for parents of Charity married last name Chisholm, to
Robert Chisholm. Charity was born April 11,1818 uncertain of location
but could be South Carolina. Charity and Robert lived and died in
south Georgia i.e. Lowndes co, which became Berrien co., and Lanier
co. Both are buried in Empire Primitive Baptist cemetery in Lanier co.
near Lakeland. Robert died Nov. 17, 1897 and Charity died August 28,
1900. Really love to find Charity's parent's.

Dear rayne,

According to the RootsWeb WorldConnect Project genealogy database and
the FamilySearch genealogy database, this is what we know about Robert
Chisholm's wife Charity:

Maiden name: Charity Williams Neel
Born 11 April 1818 in Laurens County, Georgia. Died 28 August 1900 in
Lanier County, Georgia.

-- Her parents --

Mother: Sarah Harrison.
Born 18 January 1791 in Laurens County, Georgia. Died 4 March 1859 in
Sneads, Jackson County, Florida.

Father: Daniel Odom Neel.
Born 18 Jan 1788 in Laurens County, Georgia. Died 20 October 1853 in
Bainbridge, Decatur County, Georgia.

Daniel Odom Neel and Sarah Harrison were married 7 January 1808 in
Laurens County, Georgia.

-- Charity William Neel's grandparents on the mother's side --

Grandfather: Benjamin Harrison
Born 25 October 1755 in Dobbs County, North Carolina. Died 14 August
1811 in Laurens County, Georgia.

Grandmother: Charity Williams
Born 17 February 1764 in Edgecombe County, North Carolina. Died 13
July 1854 in Georgetown, Randolf County, Georgia.

Benjamin Harrison and Charity Williams were married 8 June 1785 in
Edgecombe County, North Carolina.

-- Charity William Neel's grandparents on the father's side --

Grandfather: William Neel
Born after 1748 and 1760 in Laurens County, Georgia. Died 20 March
1821 or 1823 in Alabama.

Grandmother: Sabry (or Sabra) Odom
Born between 1752 and 1773 in Laurens County, Georgia. Died 16
November 1823 in Laurens County, Georgia.

They married reportedly in 1794 in Georgia. But regarding the
birthdate of their first son, Daniel Odom Neel, this is not
necessarily the correct date.

-- Charity William Neel's great-grandparents on the mother's side --

James Williams (born ca. 1740, Edgecombe County, North Carolina; died
ca. 1763, same place) and Elizabeth Exum (born ca. 1745, Edgecombe
County, North Carolina or Isle of Wight, Virginia; died after 23
January 1775 in Edgecombe County, North Carolina). Married ca. 1763 in
Edgecombe County, NC. Parents of Charity Williams.

Thomas Harrison and Mary [Unknown], parents of Benjamin Harrison. No
dates available anymore.

Unfortunately, nothing seems to be known about Charity William Neel's
great-grandpartents on the father's side.
