Where is a reference, or to whom could I contribute the quote,for "70%
of the wealth in America today is controlled by people 65+"???

Hi rick123-ga,

Are you sure that those numbers are correct -- specifically, the 70%
figure and the 65+ age bracket?  I did a search through the past
month's worth of publications and could not find a single instance.

One of the last places I think I read the statement in question was in
a Financial Journal put out by the Financial Planning Assos. for
CFP's.  The statement may have had a variance in my figures, but they
would be minor variances.  "70% of the wealth in American today is
controlled by people 65,64,63,62,60+".  The numbers may be off a
little...but not much.

I found some information but I wouldn’t call it recent and the wealth
statistics don’t quite match your figures.
