I am asking this question on behalf of a friend of mine who is a
graduate student in amsterdam, studying education and english. She is
from Ethiopia and would like to form an organisation that aims at
improving the educational system in Africa, specifically in Ethiopia
when she graduates. To achieve this, she would like to find professors
and others around the world who are doing this type of work or who
want to do something similar. She is looking for people in private or
public arena who could give her the names of others and their contact
information.

She is also looking for educational institutions and foundations which
could help her improve that education in Africa.

Hi lizabiz,

Rather than "answering" this question, let me instead suggest that
your friend simply enter "africa education foundations" into Google
and go from there. She will find a wealth of resources, and she can,
better than I, evaluate how applicable these are to her goals. Here's
a site she could start with:
http://www.africahomepage.org/education.html

I wish her and you all the best,

Hi, Lizabiz,

The Association of Commonwealth Uiversities runs a service for
university lecturers who have retired but want to go on working. You
will find details at <http://www.acu.ac.uk/adverts/rad>

I know that Ethiopia is not part of the commonwealth, but it does not
look as if the service is restricted to commonwealth members only -
and of course many other countries in Africa are members anyway.

I cannot claim a research strategy, I happened across the site this
morning in an advert in an education journal, printed on real paper.

Good luck, a worthy cause, and am hoping the service will still be
available when I retire!

Best, read2live
