I had a bit of a look around already, but I was wondering if you are
based in Australia or somewhere else. It would be helpful to know
where your company is based, as several indemnity companies I
researched work only with engineering companies within their own
country.

We are in Queensland Australia but work within Australia, Asia , or
anywhere in the world, depending on the projects.

I have been working on your question for some time now and I feel I
have a complete enough answer to post it. If you need further data,
just post and I’ll do the work.

The first I found is http://www.pro-ii.com/. They are a UK company
based in East Sussex, set up in 1995.
They have an online form with an area specifically for constuction
companies for you to begin requesting a quote from them:
http://www.pro-ii.com/quotespii.htm

They same company seem to own http://www.professionalindemnity.org/ as
the quote request page is the same and they are in East Sussex.

Here is company two, who obviously work with HSBC in Aus/NZ:
http://www.insurancebrokers.hsbc.com/homepage/html/assurex.jsp?divisionname=assurex&XMLName=email/email.xml#

The name of company three, also in the UK, suggests a one man band,
but there does seem to be a serious business there on reflection:
http://www.tolsonmessenger.co.uk/ocorp.htm

Fabien in the UK give the impression of being pretty big:
http://www.fabieninsurance.co.uk/
They have a form for the construction sector here:
http://www.fabieninsurance.co.uk/design.htm

1st business also provide PII and are too based in the UK but they do
not have a page detailing engineering business requirements. Their
page to begin the quote process is:
http://www.1st-business-insurance.co.uk/business_insurance_quotes.html

This index page of a website is not for one company but is a cover
sheet for the industry per and may be of use to you:
http://www.insurancecover.com/
Along the sames lines, ie overarching brokers we find finexia.
https://www.finexia.com/servlet/com.finexia.servlet.CreateInsuranceReferralServlet
Their homepage is http://www.finexia.com/

This next online broker lists companies by state in the US and Canada.
http://www.insure.net/

Here is a page dealing with PII from the Institute of Engineers
Australia.
http://www.ieaust.org.au/./policy/pi_insurance0.html

And this page has an email address for a professional you can contact
in Western Australia:
http://www.wa.ieaust.org.au/members.html

I hope that helps you choose a company suitable for you to work with.
If you require any further data, just post and I'll do the legwork.
Also, if you feel I have answered well, please rate my answer should
you have time.
