Hi Granny, I believe that you're looking for Avandamet from GlaxoSmithKline http://www.avandamet.com/ See Defeatdiabetes.org: "posted 10/17/02 Another new treatment option for patients with Type 2 diabetes who are not in control. GlaxoSmithKline announced last week that the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) approved Avandamet (rosiglitazone maleate and metformin HCl) for the treatment of type 2 diabetes," http://www.defeatdiabetes.org/Articles/drug021017.htm Also see this press release on Yahoo Finance, cached by Google: http://216.239.57.100/search?q=cache:y66BSqOoDn8C:biz.yahoo.com/prnews/021011/nyf035_1.html&hl=en&ie=UTF-8&client=googlet search strategy: "new treatment", "type 2 diabetes" I hope this helps. ;-) |
