Looking for a song, at least 10 years old, with the lines "like a

A search on the additional lyrics of "I was born on the wings of the
dawn" turned up this Italian message indicating that the song is by
Sheila Chandra who is not African but Indian:

"'I was born on the wings of the dawn' di Sheila Chandra, che tanto
per precisare, non è afro, ma hindi."

"Wings of Dawn," as performed by Sheila Chandra and Monsoon, is
definitely the correct song.

These are the lyrics to the refrain (repeated, with instrumental
interludes, throughout the song):

I was born on the wings of the dawn,
Oh, I was born on the wings of the dawn.
Like a thief in the night you came to me
And stole my heart away.

I highly recommend the CD that Juggler found for you. If you like
"Wings of Dawn," you are sure to enjoy the other songs as well.
