I disagree with aceresearcher. My comment was in no way rude. It is a statement of my opinion. The question will take significant research to answer and the person demands IN ALL CAPS that they want an answer now. If aceresearcher had read the google answers guide for researchers, he would know that Google asks that researchers do not answer questions that do not offer compensation equivalent to the amount of work involved. Aceresearcher was rude in his clarification and will be reported to the editor. |

Researchers have a strong interest in seeing the Google Answers service thrive. Comments such as those by research-help-ga, even if well-meant, can easily be taken as insulting by a customer. Those of us who work as researchers are sensitive to our customers needs and feelings, and are justifiably concerned that comments by non-researchers, while often useful, can also sometimes give customers a bad taste for our service. That's why aceresearcher posted a Clarification pointing that out. The Clarification was not rude, just a straghtforward attempt to keep things in perspective. For the record, customers can differentiate researcher comments from non-researcher comments because researcher names are highlighted and underlined (and act as links to the researcher's ratings) while names of other, "non-official" commenters appear in black. ericynot-ga |
