Toyota Technological Institute is setting up a new computer science
department, to be co-located at the University of Chicago
(http://www.tti-chicago.com/index.shtml). I'd like to know of any
other cases of Japanese universities or Japanese corporations setting
up university level academic entities in the United States.
Discussions of how successful those institutions have been, their
culture, etc. would also be of interest.
