I need to find some good-quality audio from the early-80s TV movie
about nuclear war called "The Day After". Ideally it would be 15
seconds or more and the clip would have something to do with nuclear
war (people talking about being scared, etc.)

There is no answer at this time.

I remember this film vividly. There is a great soundbite from it that
I will search for for you. It is Jason Robards (I believe) on a radio
saying, "This is Lawrence, Kansas...is anybody out there? Anybody at
all?"

A very eerie film. Another similar film is "Testament".

My favourite film in that genre is "Special Bulletin" - a TV movie
presented played out as being a live newscast. It's excellent, I wish
I could find a copy of the video locally.

Yep, I have Special Bulletin on tape.

I'd love to get some audio from "The Day After" though.

If you're unable to find a clip online, Amazon's got the VHS for sale
for US$9.99: http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/tg/detail/-/B000059PR5/qid=1043484349/sr=8-4/ref=sr_8_4/102-8373431-9068169?v=glance&s=video&n=507846
