Looking for the original manufacturer of these letter opener blades:
http://www.pennstateind.com/Merchant2/merchant.mv?Screen=CTGY&Store_Code=PSI&Category_Code=LO
or blades similar to these.
The blades in the above URL are part of a 'kit'; we need only the
blade section. The blade is made of brass, gold-plated and has a male
stud (4mm thread) that screws into the handle. The quality is fairly
good, it is well polished and free of visual defects. The stud portion
does not have to be 4mm, just threaded. |

I have found two possible sources for your request. However, one does
not have a photo of the blade, but the description is:
"LETTER OPENER BLADES 4-1/4" long blade is available with gold or
nickel silver plate and each comes with a matching shoulder. Just
drill a hole in your handle for the 1" long tang, insert and glue"
The other has a picture that looks very much like the blade, however
it is very small so I can't really tell. I have emailed both
locations to ask them to look at the photo of the blade on the web
page you are referring to and see if their blades match. I will let
you know when I hear from them. You can see the picture I was
working off of at:

Look down the left-hand side, below the giant paper clip. That blade
looks like the one you want.

I am not sure what needs to be clarified. Also, the URL:
http://www.lucidmatrix.com/uploads/comp.jpg
has not been accepting connections for the past 2 hours...
The tang needs to be threaded, and the source has to be the original
manufacturer, possibly in Taiwan.

I, unfortunately, have been unable to locate any other resources for
your needs. Hopefully, another researcher will have better luck.

We need more sources for the blades, and pricing information if it's
avaliable. If more compensation is needed we can work something out.
Mainly interested in comparing different sources. Thank you.
