According to this page
http://www.lyrics.ly/lyrics.php/Eminem/8+Mile+(Soundtrack)/Love+Me
from lyrics world the artist you are looking fro is Obie Trice.

To answer the second part of your question, the page Obie World
http://www.obieworld.com/, says "he will drop his debut album in the
first quarter of 2003 on Shady/Interscope Records. It's sure to be a
hit so be on the look out!"

Here are some more sites with the lyrics from this song;

I had seen the Obie Trice reference on some other pages, but the voice
on the sample is definitely female and not of a hip-hop nature. It's
very likely more of a blues/jazz singer.

All I was able to find is a reference to Obie Trice, which I'm
reasonably sure is not who I'm looking for. Thanks for the try.

Please post this answer for a refund, I have spent a lot of time on
this and have only been able to find that there is a "female" voice on
the track.  Sorry
