Hi Jhabley:
Some examples of the "if one is good, a dozen are great!" school of
web design for real estate and/or realtors are:
1. For Sale By Owner -
http://www.real-estate-byowner.com/
I honestly didn't know where to settle my eyes first, and when I
could, nothing seemed to sink in!
2. Donovan Realty/Falmouth Homes
http://www.falmouthhomes.com/
Notice the nice touch of the graphic background, against which the
small type is competing. It adds that nice touch for Cape Cod Real
Estate. Some unfortunate use of font changes and table layouts runs
some of the text over itself. If it looks okay to you in one browser,
please take a look in Netscape 4.7x, Mozilla or Opera.
3. Just so I'm not picking just on US companies, there is also Real
Estate.com Australia
http://www.realestate.com.au/cgi-bin/rsearch?a=bhp&t=res
This has something for everyone ... including a nice marching marquee
across the top for some 'action'. Unfortunately trying to find
smething gets a little harder, because it's hard to decide where to
look.
Bonus:
Boston Real Estate -
http://realestate.boston.com/
While this isn't really a realtor's site, using the search terms "real
estate", and "realtor" in our favorite search engine, Google, offered
this site with no explanation that it is a section of the Boston
Globe. One wonders, then, at all the references of real estate in New
York. I am sure it has to do with the daily commuters, but it would
lead others to wonder why Boston people want to move to New York.
Search terms:
Realtors
Realty + Realtors
Home Sales and
Really bad real estate sites
NOTE: The later produced results which were mostly directories ... and
don't you know I just didn't have the heart (not to mention stomach)
to go take a peek!
Hope this takes care of things,
