I need to find a vendor that carries glossy cdrom labels for either full size,or 3 inch mini and/or business card size CD-ROMs. The vendor must guarantee that these labels are compatible with Epson's new DuraBrite inks that are used in the Epson C82 printer. |

Hi, Mr4698 ... Neato makes great high gloss labels for CD Roms and the minis (not to mention a lot of other labels, cases and holders). A quick call to their customer service department assured me that it does indeed work with the DuraBrite inks for the Epson C82 printer (and the other Epson models that use the DuraBrite inks). Neato also a no-questions-asked 100% refund policy if you're not completely satisfied for ANY reason. The Neato website is at: http://www.neato.com/ Neato products are carried by the following retailers or office supply stores: BEST BUY COMPUSA DATAVISION FRY'S ELECTRONICS GUITAR CENTERS J AND R COMPUTER WORLD MICRO CENTER OFFICE DEPOT OFFICE MAX SAM ASH MUSIC STAPLES TARGET VIRGIN MEGASTORES WALMART Their guarantee is on every product they sell, but you can find it on their Website at: http://www.neato.com/neato_guarantee.asp?mscsid=4XVSS536MLBQ8GB390V7R8JWE39FAM6D I use Neato products with my Epson C80 (uses the DuraBrite inks), and there are no smudges and so far, no fading. Hope this helps, Serenata |

Is there a reason that you think that any old label isn't compatible with this printer, whether it be glossy or matte finish? From the C80 specs, which is more than likley either the model previous to the C82 or a sister/brother to that model, seems to print on any standard media types, including all the plain bond type paper as well as glossy photo paper. The C80 also uses the durabrite ink. |

Tried using any old glossy label - let it dry overnight and in the morning when you run your finger over the print it smears big time! Thanks. |

I now have renewed concern about using the Neato labels because we have talked to Neato and they say gave us the following links to check out before we order the glossy CD-ROM labels: http://www.inkjetart.com/c80/better_blacks.html http://files.support.epson.com/htmldocs/sc80__/sc80__f1/index.html I paid the researcher for the answer that now is apparently not exactly correct. The researcher told me that he checked with Neato and they guarantee that their glossy labels will work with the C82 Epson printer. When I checked out the links above that were given to us today by Neato, I don't get a warm fuzzy feeling at all. I feel like I may have jumped the gun and given the researcher 5 stars etc., before I actually checked out the information I was given. |
