If you don't mind my asking, is there a particular reason why you need
to know the manufacturer? You already know that you can get these
cubes, the connectors, and other related components at The Container
Store; what can you get from the manufacturer that you can't get from
The Container Store? I'm sure there is something -- such as price or
quantity -- but I thought it might be helpful to know what that
something is.

Well, The Container Store's description says that: "Our Galvanized
Storage Cube blends Italian design with the durability and strength of
galvanized steel". This makes it sound to me like these products are
unique to The Container Store, and that they are partially -- but not
completely -- based on "Italian design". But I suppose that someone
has to manufacture these products for The Container Store, and perhaps
the manufacturer (or originator) is indeed Italian.
In any event, I would be happy to contact The Container Store
tomorrow. Or have you already tried to do that? Please let me know.

Ok, here is the whole story.
1) My room is in such a mess it has just been declared a disaster zone
by my government. So, I have decided to refurnish it but I want a
unique look and not furnish it with the same crap everyone else has
from ikea.
2) I found those galvanized cubes from the container store and thought
i struck gold. But I live in ASIA and they don't ship it here!!!!!
3) The customer service at TCS confirms that they don't ship it out of
US and they won't tell me who the manufacturer is because its not
their policy. But they did tell me the cubes are from Italy.
4) That got me thinking that I would like to know the manufacturer and
see if they have other designs for the cubes as well.
Look, I just want to know the manufacturer. thats all. Not who ships
it out of the US or who carries them. thanks guys.
