I am supporting a cross-platform production system in which a perl script running as a daemon on the unix server remote shells one of the two NT servers to execute another perl program which is located on these NT machines. Both NT servers are supposed to be exactly the same with respect to their hardware configuration as well as the software installed on them. About 4 weeks ago we noticed that remsh process that starts on the unix server to invoke perl program on one particular NT server does not get released/killed/deleted but it works fine on the other one. With the result we have to manually kill these remsh services every 2-3 days usually 70 - 100 in number which is such a pain. Any clues/tips to help me resolve this problem would be highly appreciated. Thanks. | |
