Hello relievebelarus-ga,

Two U.S. nuclear power plants (four reactors in total) had licenses
renewed in 2002: Edwin I. Hatch Nuclear Plant, Units 1 and 2 (in
January 2002), and Turkey Point Nuclear Plant, Units 3 and 4 (in June
2002).

I hope that this information is helpful.

Scott, thanks for this. But, did you find nothing on the Duane Arnold
Energy Center, Iowa's nuclear facility? I thought I heard in the fall
that their application for renewal had been renewed.

I think what you heard was that the NRC approved a power uprate for
the Duane Arnold Energy Center. The approval was in November 2001,
but I notice that the information was posted (or reposted) to the site
in September 2002, so perhaps that's why you heard about it at that
time.

01-127, November 7, 2001)

I did not see any reference to a license renewal; since the lists
cited in my answer appear to be comprehensive, one would have expected
a renewal application to be listed there.

Thank you for the thorough answer to both question and clarification,
and for providing your source cites as well.
