Have you tried the following?

To change your password on a Macintosh, follow these steps:

- Select the "Chooser" from the apple menu.
- Click on the icon labeled "Appleshare".
- Click once to select a network server from the list that appears.
- Click OK
- If asked, select "Apple standard UAMs" from the list presented and
click OK. Some systems will not present this list.
- In the box that says "user name", enter your user ID
- Click on the buton that says "Set Password".
- Enter your old password in the box that says "Old Password".
- Enter the new password in he box labeled "New password".
- Click OK.
- A message will appear saying "Please re-enter your new password for
confirmation".
- Click OK
- Enter the same new password again and click OK.

Please let me know if this works

Dear larryspa-ga,

The following Microsoft Knowledge Base article addresses this problem:

"A Windows NT 4.0 password cannot be changed from the Microsoft
Exchange Macintosh client."
  - XCLN: Changing Windows NT 4.0 Password in Microsoft Exchange,
156182,
    http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;156182

This article applies to all versions of the Exchange Macintosh Client
and Outlook for Exchange. Further details of the problem and a
solution involving editing the registry on your NT 4.0 PDC are also
contained within this article:

http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;156182

This procedure should hopefully resolve the problem for you; if it
doesn't, please request a clarification and I'll look into other
possibilities for you. If we need to do this, could you include a
detailed description of how the error shows itself?

Regards,

cerebrate-ga
