I'd like know what prices people have paid for very high end domain
names in (in the secondary market)in the last few years. For instance
if beer.com was sold for how much? I'm interested in fairly generic
names like internet.com,web.com, ask.com, about.com, mail.com,etc.com
 etc. etc. etc I'm
interested in any and all sales figures for what would be considered
great domain names or high end domain names.

Thanks,
bill

Bill..

Thanks for your very interesting question. During the dot com boom,
domain sales and the secondary market of domain name sales was an
amazing thing to watch. Even today, some of the "common word" domain
names are still selling for amazingly high values. Here are some
domain names and the prices that they sold for:

America.com	$10 million
Business.com	$7.5 million
AsSeenOnTv	$5 million
Funeral.com	$4 million
AltaVista.com	$3.35 million
Loans.com	$3 million
Wines.com	$3 million
Express.com	$2 million
Autos.com	$2.2 million
Brokers.com	$2 million
Feedback.com	$1.5 million
Wallstreet.com	$1.3 million
Beauty.cc	$1 million
eFlowers.com	$1 million
if.com	$1 million
rock.com	$1 million
Doctor.com	$1 million
websites.com	$975 thousand
Capital.com	$825 thousand
forsalebyowner.com	$835 thousand
Drugs.com	$823 thousand
Cinema.com	$700 thousand
University.com	$700 thousand
Biz.com $625 thousand
Computer.com	$530 thousand
Act.com $500 thousand
wisdom.com	$475 thousand
blackjack.com	$475 thousand
vote.com	$460 thousand
tower.com	$208 thousand
bingo.com	$200 thousand
engineering.org	$200 thousand
Architecture.com	$190 thousand
Question.com	$175 thousand
fruits.com	$160 thousand
push.com	$150 thousand

As you can see, the range is great for prices. You can see some
asking prices for various domains that are for sale at the following
