I nedd/want a pda that has combined internet surfing and e-mail
capabilities. I currently have an msn e-mail account and i need to be
able to get that email on my pda. I have seen pda's that can surf the
net if you use a seperate cell phone as the modem but i simply want a
pda that can surf the net/retreive my personal e-mail without a
seperate cell phone. i bought the palm i705 but they need me to sign a
35 per month contract to get e-mail access and i might not be able to
get my msn mail on it because it's not POP3, WHATEVER THAT IS. In
summation please get me the names of some moderately priced pda's that
are internet/email ready (without the use of a seperate cell phone),
e.g. a pda that allows me to view my personal e-mail, surf ebay,
google, mapquest, ms word etc. I do not want to buy a seperate cell
phone as a modem for the pda as that would defeat the purpose.
Preferably color screen thanx.

Hi Jerry7777777-ga,

Do you want to access your email through an email client such as
OUtlook on your PDA, or would you be happy with being able to get
access to the hotmail website? Also, what is your price range? Would
you be happy with an integrated PDA and cell phone?

Hi jerry7777777

I think I have what you are looking for. It is an integrated Pocket PC
and mobile phone, but you need to be on a specific network. Can I ask
what mobile phone network you currently use, and if you would be
amenable to switching networks to get this device?

Thanks
Cobrien

I am at the home of a friend. I acknowledge your clarification
request. When back in college on Monday I will fully respond to the
request.

The first one is the SprintPCS Handspring Treo 300 PDA Phone. This has
a backlit keyboard, colour screen, weighs 5.2 ounces, and has a
battery talk time of three hours. It is a phone and a PDA, it does not
use Internet Explorer or Netscape to browse the web, it their own
browser called Blazer. It works on the Palm operating system.

The next link documents the whole range of Handspring Treo’s. The 180
and the 180g do not have colour screens. They are all real pretty,
with flip over tops and some allow you to write directly onto the
screen without typing.

The last one uses the Microsoft operating system. It weighs 7 ounces
and has a colour screen. The telephone company it uses is T-mobile. It
can connect to the internet, as can all of the phones I have given
links to.

The question you asked was for a researcher to give you details on
phones. I have done that, the best way to find out more is actually to
go through the links. If you want me to find out if you would be
better off just buying a modem, that really should be posted as a
separate question.
