I'm looking for the following book by Robert Kembel and Roger
Cummings:

The Fibre Channel Consultant: A Comprehensive Introduction
Publisher: Northwest Learning Assoc; ISBN: 0931836840; (June 1998)

It is on sale at Amazon for $95:

http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/ASIN/0931836840/qid=1021076495/sr=8-1/ref=sr_8_67_1/002-4424395-8244819#product-details

Can someone point me to a source that sells this book (used, paperback
OK)
for $25 OR LESS and HAS IT IN STOCK?

Hello studboy-ga,

It looks like it’s going to be tough to find a used copy of this book.
None of the online used book sites have it.

As you probably figured out, it’s available from the author at his
consulting company.
http://www.fc-online.com/
Northwest Learning Associates
Publishes Robert W. Kembel's Fibre Channel Consulting series of books.
Call him in Tucson at (520) 881-0877.

Another Tucson consulting company that specializes in fibre channel
and uses the book might be able to give you suggestions on how to
locate a used copy.

FSI Consulting Services recommends The Fibre Channel Consultant books
for its training programs. Contact them for sources on finding used
copies. Gary Stephens (520) 321-1725

A more challenging possibility is for you to track down people who
might have bought the book and would be willing to sell it. Ask your
friends in the business if they know anyone who may no longer need the
book. If you know of any colleges that offer courses on fibre channel,
check with their campus bookstores. The online used textbook sources
didn’t turn up anything.

The two industry associations for fibre channel both list their
corporate members. You could check the list of companies and see if
you know people at any of them. You could ask to publicize your quest
on internal Web sites or bulletin boards.

Another idea: a library and a xerox machine. That would probably cost
less than $25 and you can copy only what's important for you.

If you need a list fo libraries that are lose to you ro might run a
photocopying service, please contact me again.

unversities near you to see if their used book store has a cheap copy.

I too, have looked everywhere, and I went to 12 different distributors
who all had it for $95, right on the money, not including shipping.

I found you a slight break -- 77.52, including tax/shipping it comes
to $82.47, which saves you about $15... but I know it's not nearly the
$25 you wanted.

For a list of the sites I visited to compare prices,

You may want to check the University Bookstore in your area, to find
out if they have a Used Books program. Also, additionally, some
Student Associations have programs where students put their books up
for sale and you can bid on them. That'd probably be your best bet at
this point.

At any case, if you buy this book.. make sure you sell it to someone
else when you're finished.. you can sell it for $80 or so and make
most of it back.
