Hello buysell!

Do you require original packaging, manuals, etc., or can you work with
just the machines themselves?

Clarification of Question by buysell-ga on 12 May 2002 16:46 PDT
Hello nishka,

It does not matter if the item comes with or without original
packaging and manuals. Usually those type of items comes without any
manuals. The important part is in item condition and its value. I'm
looking for bulk, large sales, and very low price. I'm interested in
AS IS electronics too.

beyond,
Ebay is nice, but it's too popular, or I should say known very well.
I'm not sure how you would call this type of a place but think of it
as a distribution center.
Phone number is in case I wasn't clear and you want to talk to me
directly. Just ask for Alex when you call.
Thank you.

Dear tlspiegel-ga,

In my original question I mentioned that I'm interested to buy
electronic equipment in BULK. For example, I'm interested in a
quantity like 1000 (one thousand)video cameras. Or another example,
pallets of returned electronic equipment from stores like CompUSA. I'm
not interested in single items, if I was interested in small
quantities I would go to places like ebay.com.
Another thing, those items must come directly from the original place,
if they are from CompUSA, for example, then I'm interested in phone
numbers directly at their warehouses, NOT through a reseller.

Thank you for trying to answer my question.

I realize that what I'm asking is hard to get :) and I'm willing to
pay more for acurate information, just contact me direct at 410 833
7656, (it's a new number).

Thanks!

Hi Alex!

I received notification that you require more information. I made
several phone calls and from what I'm able to determine, large
retailers use resellers to unburden themselves from returned,
displayed, or unsaleable items.

But... I think I found what you're looing for. I was able to find the
following websites which buy and sell in bulk and from what I'm able
to determine, the prices are definitely good.

Both of the websites listed show on their Home Page pictures of large
quantities on pallets...

"101 Used Computers is in the business of buying and selling used
monitors and computers. We offer high quality used and refurbished
monitors and computers at discount prices."

Tel: (514)836-2456
Fax: (775)256-2141
email address - usedcomps@usa.com

The Home Page shows 4 images on pallets with listings of minimum sales
of 100 units, 300 units, 10 units. So this is definitely bulk.

And, the next site offers "quantity pricing on many items. Pricing
depends on availability, quantity, and demand. We bargain for large
lots. If you want to buy in large quantity let us know. If you are
close to west central Indiana we invite you to stop by our warehouse."

"General computer/electronics pallets. Everything computer related
plus electronics. $100 per pallet."

email address - cms@claynet.com

Note* Please scroll to 3/4 way down the page, after the final PayPal
logo on the left side... That is where you'll find the information
about buying in bulk.

I realize this information does not give you the ability to deal
directly with the stores such as CompUSA, Fry's Electronics, Office
Depot, etc. But perhaps you can find what you need by taking a look
at the sites I listed.

search terms uisng Google: "bulk electronics", "used computers for
sale"

Good luck to you,
tlspiegel-ga

Hello buysell-ga,

Our search returned the following results:

Rochester Computer Recycling & Recovery
(http://www.rochestercomputer.com)

I found this website to be what you are looking for. There are many
websites out there (and here is a huge list at the dmoz website
http://dmoz.org/Computers/Hardware/Used/) but the Rochester Computer
website meets what you asked for. Here is a quote off their website:

"Rochester Computer Recycling & Recovery offers for sale like-new
equipment from leading manufacturers. All of our equipment is
reconditioned inside and out using the highest quality assurance
standards."

The results were obtained from this Google search: (refurb and used
electronics to buy in bulk)

I hope you found the answer you liked here...but if you require help
on
any of the information please feel free to post a clarification :-)

Regards,

Interceptor-ga

Not as familiar with the US scenario, but here in Canada the federal
govt frequently auctions off surplus items including everything from
electronics to desktop fans to heavy vehicles.

Perhaps you might find something similar where you are?

You may also be interested in a central Ohio company www.redemtech.com
If you click on "Web Store" then "Products" you can browse their vast
used equipment inventory. They sell in bulk and have partners in
other countries. You can contact them for more information. Hope
this helps.
