Hi shardede:

The following page contains data going back to 1916, when income tax
was introduced in the U.S.

HISTORICAL TAX RATES
http://www.korpios.org/resurgent/TaxTimeline.htm

Near the bottom of the page is a nice chart:

http://www.korpios.org/resurgent/TaxTimeline.htm#income

Hope this helps!

I was actually hoping for a chart of all the tax brackets. This is a
great site, and gives most of what I was looking for, but I'd like to
see, for example, how every tax percentage changed with the Reagan tax
cuts, the Bush and Clinton tax hikes, and the Bush tax cut - not just
the highest and lowest. Ideally, I'd like to go back to the
beginning, but at the latest to the early 40's.

Hi shardede:

The following document contains more in-depth information about tax
brackets over time.

Personal Income Taxation in the United States
http://garnet.acns.fsu.edu/~holcombe/chap14.PDF

The following site lists personal exemptions over time:

http://acct.tamu.edu/kinney/611course%5C611%20notes%5Cindividual%20income%20tax%20rates.htm

I'm not sure I can find anything more detailed.

Gives most of what I was looking for, but I'd like a little more info
on all the tax brackets.
