It occurs to me that it would be useful for Google Answers researchers
to have a discussion group where we could share tips and ideas about
the best way to get the most out of this service.

It would also help build up a bit of comunity spirit, and so on.

I've set up a Yahoo Group, which I hope will do for the moment. It's
here:

http://groups.yahoo.com/group/googleresearchers/

I hope you think this is a sensible idea, but if any other researchers
have any good suggestions or comments, please post them either below
or to the Yahoo group.

*Please* don't answer this question - I'll only reject your answer.

Thanks!

Ummm. What do you mean by "don't" answer this question. Does that
means Do not answer this question at all. Or does that mean DO answer
this question but NOT today. Just need clarification!

I'd thought it was self-explanatory, answerdude. Don't answer this
question. If you do, I'll reject your answer.

This question was posted to encourage researchers to join the fora
listed below. I don't fancy shelling out $4 for it. Clear enough?

Great minds think a like and all that. I was just working on a forum
project for a client of mine and thought "hey, this would be cool for
the researchers" and set it up on my server. You can't get to it from
the main page and theirs no advertising of it anywhere, so you need
the hyper link
http://www.webadept.net/phpBB/

Also, this little note:
This Forum is a closed Forum for Google Researchers. Admittance is not
guaranteed and you may be removed at any time. Google does not sponsor
this forum and will probably have their own for us to use in the near
future. If that becomes true, then this forum will disappear like
Disk-World from our solar system.

As I stated on the Yahoo board, I like the idea, but don't like all
the spam that such a "open" board will gather. So, this board is up,
if you wish to join, great, if not, no worries, there's always the
Yahoo board.

Thanks all, and its great to be counted amoung you.

Another researcher forum, a bit less strict in its admittance policies:

I would truly love to join,

But at http://www.webadept.net/phpBB/ the register link is dead.

At http://forums.delphiforums.com/webguide/messages i'm not sure that
I am in the right location for the google researchers to be able to
commune.

and lastly, http://groups.yahoo.com/group/googleresearchers I'm not
sure if this is actually alive and functional.

If someone would be kind enough to point to the location of the
communal researcher meeting grounds I would love to participate.

Webadept have been having a bit of server trouble today, but it should
be okay now.

The yahoo group has died a death rather - but the webadept group is
going strong. Do come along...

P.S. Are you the same as mother-ga, or someone else entirely?
