For Texas residents, presently qualified for Medicare, what are the
rules concerning Medicare/Medicaid payments to cover the nusing home
care for one of the spouses who needs long-term care for a
physical/mental disaability?  Are there any specific requirements as
to maximum income, maximum assets, etc.?  Would payment be
disqualified if current annual income was approximately $45,000 which
represented Social Security of $22,000 Pensions and dividends of
$18,000 and rental income of $5,000.  Would payment be disqualified if
assets, excluding personal residence, were approximately $400,000
which was represented by common stock, mutual funds and similar
investments.
