job-hunting, for example, please specify what sorts of jobs you are
looking for. Letting us know what you need this for will help us serve
you better. Are you interested in studios that only have a Corporate
Office in NYC? How about those that have a publishing arm in NYC?

I'm job-hunting for a game designer position so I'm looking only for
studios that actaully develop their games in NYC. Studios that do
their developing somewhere else but have offices in the city are less
important for me. Thanks

Are you looking for an specific game studio in nyc (for example
microsoft gs) or just a number of them?

I'm not posting this as an answer because I've only turned up one
other studio in NYC:
Gotham Games: www.gothamgames.com (Development house for Take Two
Interactive)

I'll also mention for your benefit that www.gamasutra.com (free reg
required) is an excellent source for the game industry, and includes
job listings.
