How do I get data from an Oracle 8i database table into a Microsoft
Access database without having to fill in the UID and PWD? I have the
UID and PWD but I want this routine to run periodicaly without
intervention.

Hi jmanels-ga,
Are you interested in the source code for a particular
language(C++/VB/.NET)? Also, which version of Access are you working
with?

I'm working with Access 2000 and I would like to use a DSN file but
they always ask for the UID and PWD to be input. The other alternative
is to use VBA on a form adn use a connection string.

Hi jmanels-ga,
You can simply add the UID and PWD to the connection string. This
way you can repeatedly connect to the database, without having to
specify them again and again. Would this be all right with you?

Are you using ODBC drivers? Usually they provide the authentification.

I am using ODBC but it does allow for unattended import of data.
