the name is George Howe Muirhead Wren born 13.1.1920 in Renfrwshire Scotland
Was in Glasgow Prison 1969-70
since then no further contact.  would like to know if now deceased

It does not appear that you can generally find records of deaths in
Scotland after 1970 on the Internet, unless you happen to stumble upon
an obituary or something like that.  However, there is a way that you
can obtain a record, for a fee, from a government office.  (I should
note that if this office begins a search, you are charged a fee even
if the search does not turn up any records, so there is a risk
involved.)

Would information on how to request a death record be a sufficient
answer?

DIVORCED11.2.1965 ANY INFORMATION OF HIS WHEREABOUTS WOULD BE
APPRECIATED BY HIS CHILDREN
