kivka.. Thanks for your question. Your Sony Vaio PCG-F160 came standard with 64MB of memory hard wired to the machine and a single expansion slot to which you can add 16MB. 32MB, 64MB or 128MB of RAM. There is a PDF dodument that can be found on http://www.ita.sel.sony.com/support/pc/pcdoc.html. The last section on that page is entitled "Adding Memory Manuals" and the second link under that heading is a PDF file that shows how to add memory to the PCG-F160. A direct link to that document is ftp://ftp.ita.sel.sony.com/ccpg/pc/docs/notebooks/pcgf1xx_addmem.pdf You will need Adobe Acrobat Reader to view the document. If you don't have Acrobat Reader, you can download it at http://www.adobe.com/products/acrobat/readstep2.html The document has illustrations and a step-by-step process to install your memory module.
