What a fun question to research! Happily, as it turns out,
many game creators will allow you to host their game on your
website, and, quite frequently, at no cost to you.
Nick D'Arcy offers a java-based game called Tempest 1000:
http://www.boomahtrix.btinternet.co.uk/mainsite/Temp1000/tempest.htm
"If you want to use this game on your website no problems, please
just send me an email letting me know your site. If you have any
problems, email me."
Xin Yang offers the Bubble game here:
http://members.lycos.co.uk/vocalist/ebc1/games/bubbles.html
"To use this game on your website for personal purpose, send me
your URL and put a link back to my web site, then you can use
this script free."
DigitalGames.biz offers a Shockwave Flash game, 'Run Santa, Run',
for free, here:

JavaFile.com offers a number of free scripts for games and puzzles:

Minicade.com also offers free games to put on your website:

If you're willing to pay for a license, you can use the
Shockwave Flash games available on QuadGames.com:

PokW.com has a variety of javascript games listed here:

"PokW.com features a collection of original javascripts
for you to download for free. Our scripts ranges from
simple "cut and paste" scripts to full fledge online
applications, all available for download with source
code."
"If you can't find the script you are looking for, I also
offer custom scripting at affordable prices. Depending on
the script, you might be able to get a custom script for
FREE*. Please check out our custom scripting section for
more information or a price quote."

"all but two ansewers received the address I was unable to pull up the
sites."
I'm assuming this means that your browser was unable to load the sites.
As I noted, many of the games are written in java, which means you
will need to enable java in your browser preferences in order to
load those pages. Other sites have the games written in Shockwave
Flash, which means you will need to download that plugin for your
browser. The pages which use Shockwave also contain a link for
downloading the plugin. Other games are written in javascript
which means you will need to enable javascript in your browser
preferences to play those games. There is no getting around this.
All online games are written in one of these formats.
You said:
"What I am looking for is a Site to click on to from ine wikth
games. with out the ads etc."
I have no idea what this means, except that you would prefer
not to have to endure ads in order to play the games.
The fact is, the games are only available to play or download
for free because of the fact that they are supported by ads.
Exceptions to this will be extremely rare, and this is well
beyond the scope of the original question.
You said:
"or adding a game room to my site with a few games for free play"
This was your original question, and I've provided you with
several sites which satisfy the question. All of the sites
I showed you will allow you to download their games and install
them on your website, and all but one for free. Most of them
provide instructions to assist you in doing so. If you need
more assistance in learning how to do this, I would suggest
posting another question on that topic so that a researcher
familiar with building web pages can assist you.
I really don't see what else I can do for you in relation to
the original question, but feel free to post another request
for clarification if you believe I'm missing something here.
