Was there ever any video with my favorite dancer of all time, Winston
DeWitt Hemsley, Jr.? He started in the 60's in NYC and appeared in
many Broadway hits:Golden Boy,Joyful Noise,Hallelujah Baby,Hello
Dolly,Purlie,A Chorus Line; He was in a movie:The Pawnbroker. And he
danced in ensemble groupings in the movie The Wiz. He danced in
countless TV specials, was a dancer on the TV show Hullabaloo. But I'm
seeking any video of him dancing on a concert stage. He was in many
concerts with the Fred Benjamin co. Winston was a co-director for that
co.('67-mid-70's). I'm hoping perhaps one of those concerts was
filmed. He also had a night club song & dance act with Alan Weeks
called Tip & Tap. It's somewhat of a mystery if he is even alive. The
NYC dance community heard that he died of aids in the 80's. He also
was reported as a homicide victim in Las Vegas,NV on May 9,1989. I
will pay $50.00 for anything that leads to a video of him dancing in a
dance concert.
