Thoug infant care facilities of lower levels are part of almost any
European hospital, level 3 NICU facilities are far more rare. The
ESPNIC (European Society of Paedriatic and Neonatal Intensive Care)
maintains a database for hospitals fulfilling the benchmarks for level
3 care. From their data collection, I assembled a list for the
countries you are interested in. I cross-checked all data and brought
it, where necessary, up-to-date. I was very surprised by the fact that
there are lo level 3 NICU facitlities in France, Italy and
Switzerland; but even extensive additional research only confirmed
this.
